Let's make it Simple: Ten Undies

How refreshing in this world of information and sensory overload to stubble across some Simplicity

Ten Undies is chanelling just that. Simple colour palette, easy sizes and a focus on key styles.
More and more it seems we are looking for brands that do one thing really well and resist from trying to offer everything to everyone, it makes shopping so much easier.
In the lingerie market this is particularly important as no other product development process (perhaps shoes) takes as long and is so complex, so any simplification is welcomed. This is especially  important if you have just started up as it takes time for customers to trust you with their intimates.
Brands such as SPANX, Fantasie, Freya are all success stories of simplicity lets hope we see many more in the future.

Miniature Brassieres

Look at these amazing mini bra sculptures by Holly Laws

Inspired to sew by her mother and with an incredible sense of detail Holly has created these miniature brassieres, authentic down to the smallest stitch.
I can't tell you how desperately I want to grab the nearest Barbie and try them on for size.

Milan Fashion Week: Gucci

If one trend can be identified so far from the Designer Shows its the plunging neckline. Best get taking care of the décolletage because it will be on show this Autumn!

London Fashion Week: Viva Las Vegas Julien Macdonald

Having  been semi blinded by flashbulbs at the Julien Macdonald Fashion Show I've only just got my vision back to be able to write this entry

Bad mistake standing behind the front row at a Julien Macdonald Show, Pixie Lott, The Saturdays, Jamie Winstone and they were just the ones I recognised from the back. Paparazzi madness ensued for at least 20 mins before the show started and the blinding flashbulbs popped endlessly.
The Collection was an unending stream of sequinned gorgeousness that every self respecting Diva would find hard to resist, all inspired by Las Vegas excess.
Coloured cuts of mirrored sequins, beaded fringing and ombre sequinned lace was mixed with sheer panels exposing tantalising swathes of skin.
It was certainly a spirit lifter in these tough economic times, if you can't live the dream at least you can dream it.

This pair have seen it all before

Up Pops Triumph

With a 127 year history Triumph can claim to know a little bit about womens underpinnings

Day 1 of London Fashion Week a Triumph shop has popped up on Monmouth St in Covent Garden.
This morning was the showcase of the A/W 2013 Triumph Essence Collection and also Helena Christensens own collection for the label.
Helena was there talking everyone through the collection with an obvious passion for her creations and let me tell you, as Supermodel as she is with her warm natural personality and drop dead gorgeousness, the girls got boobs, so theres a reality to her collection that definately resonates with the Triumph brand.
Expect to see couture touches such as Soutache embroidery and chantilly lace in sleek balcony bras, padded bras without wires and to fabulous to hide body and slip pieces

Spring hasn't even sprung yet and I'm looking forward to Autumn!

New York Fashion - Tadashi Shoji

Is it or isn't it

Tadashi Shoji showed a collection yesterday that shimmered with texture, was it lace ,was it devore or maybe embroidery?
Hard to tell, but the final result was beautifully sophisticated gowns and dresses
