V&A Touring Exhibition: Undressed: 350 years of Underwear in Fashion

Nordiska Museet, Stockholm, 11 November 2011 - 27 March 2012

This exhibition in Sweden features highlights from the extensive underwear archives of the V&A Museum in London 


It looks at the history of private and intimate clothing - from corsets to court mantuas and boudoir wear to bustles - exploring underwear's function in decorating and manipulating the body.

Missouri History Museum: June 2012 - tbc

On the other side of the world in the US the Missouri History Museum is asking for you to donate your undergarments for an up and coming exhibition charting the evolution of underwear launching in June

They are mostly searching for items from the 1950s to the present, including children’s underwear and maternity/nursing items, but are open to any and all suggestions. For example, other items that might be of interest include a water bra, an inflatable bra, a training bra, and maybe even some Underoos.
